Self Exclusion

Purpose and scope

Rooli's Self-Exclusion Policy establishes formal mechanisms to suspend or restrict participation in all Rooli products for players who identify a need to take a break or to protect themselves from gambling harm. The policy covers Time-Out and Self-Exclusion and applies to every registered user of Rooli.

Time-Out (short break)

A Time-Out is a temporary restriction initiated by the player through the Account Profile. While active, the player may not deposit, withdraw or access any Rooli product for the chosen period. The available Time-Out periods are shown in the Account Profile. A Time-Out can be revoked only after 24 hours have elapsed from the initial request. Upon expiration, the account is automatically reactivated and normal activity resumes without further action by the player.

Self-Exclusion (extended break)

Self-Exclusion provides a longer-term suspension of access to Rooli services. To initiate, the user must submit a written request to the dedicated customer care channel indicating the intention to pause activity and the desired exclusion period. On receipt, the account enters a 24 hour cooling-off period during which gambling activity is blocked. After the cooling-off period, the available self-exclusion periods will be communicated; only predefined periods will be offered. The user must confirm the chosen period within the specified response window. If no confirmation is provided, the request may be treated as withdrawn and the account may be reopened. During Self-Exclusion, deposits and withdrawals are blocked and access to services is restricted. Promotional materials will not be sent to excluded users. Reactivation requires a written request after the expiration of the exclusion period; there is no automatic restoration of access.

End of Self-Exclusion and reactivation

Reactivation after Self-Exclusion is not automatic. To restore access, the user must submit a formal written request after the exclusion period has ended. Rooli will review the request in accordance with internal procedures and respond accordingly. The user remains responsible for any activity conducted during the exclusion period if access is subsequently restored.

Financial protection and limits

Rooli provides tools to impose personal limits on deposits, losses or time spent within the My Account area. Once a user exceeds any set limit, further actions related to that limit are restricted until the period resets or the user chooses to adjust the limit. Any request to revoke limits or exclusions must be submitted in writing or by electronic notice. Rooli will consider such requests but retains absolute discretion to grant or deny them. Rooli will take reasonable steps to ensure Self-Exclusion procedures are followed and will use reasonable endeavours to prevent promotional material from being sent to excluded customers. Rooli is not responsible for activity conducted via alternate accounts or altered registration details that circumvent Self-Exclusion, including attempts to rejoin using different information.

Support and responsible gaming

Rooli supports responsible gaming. Excluded players will not receive promotional communications from Rooli. If you have concerns about gambling harm, seek appropriate professional support through approved services in your jurisdiction. Rooli provides information and links to support resources in its Terms and Help pages.

Data protection and privacy

All Self-Exclusion requests and related data are processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal data will be stored securely and access restricted to staff required for compliance and customer service. Data retention complies with internal policy and legal requirements. The user may exercise rights under applicable data protection laws through standard channels.

Contact and further information

Requests and inquiries relating to Time-Out or Self-Exclusion should be submitted through the account’s secure messaging system or via the dedicated customer care channel described in the Terms. The user must be at least 18 years old to gamble. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure compliance with this requirement.
